Courage for Kids is a 501(3)c nonprofit registered in the State of Virginia as The Courage Cup. Their mission is to create, find, and support programs for at-risk children that directly improve the health and well being of those children in the Mid-Atlantic region through financial support and volunteer commitment. Courage for Kids strives to make a lasting difference in the lives of children, their families, and our community, one need at a time. This year, Courage for Kids is partnering with Bright Beginnings Child Development Center, a child and family development center located right in the heart of Washington, D.C. that offers a bright start for homeless infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and their families.

Courage for Kids plans to use their GIVE BACK-pack Initiative to send the pre-K class of Bright Beginnings to Kindergarten with school clothing, sneakers, and backpacks filled with books and school supplies. This is the first phase of the initiative, as Courage for Kids has more planned for their sponsorship of the pre-K children of Bright Beginnings. Courage for Kids also supports Hands on DC's annual Work-a-thon, and Children's Hospital's Dr. Bear's Closet.
